Windows Vista Update

Well it came a day later than I expected but I got it and it’s installed. It only took 45 minutes for me to do a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit edition. I finally get to use all my ram now all 4 gigs worth. In case you didn’t know and a lot of people don’t (until after they’ve spent a bunch of cash) that if you are not using a 64 bit edition of Windows, be it Vista or XP, Windows will only recognize 3.25 gigs of ram. so even if you got 8 gigs of ram only 3 will be found. Anyway, back to the install. I was quite impressed because I did’nt have to do anything fancy, as a matter of fact I really didn’t have to do much of anything except put in my keycode and choose Canada english, Vista was less work to install than XP. Didn’t have to go through all the normal reformat procedure Vista did that for me without all the choose this and agree to that, which I am used to. I didn’t have to hunt down and install a bunch of drivers or even put in my motherboard disk to get stuff to work. Vista found everything with no problem, and everything works fine.

Took a bit of looking and a few Google searches to find where things were, and basically all was where it should be just that Vista changed a few names, maybe to protect the innocent, haha. So the bottom line to this endeavour, iiiii like it.

p.s. this is my first legal copy of Windows.

The experiment continues.
